10 Minutes with Dan Stear on the service from Pali

Pali (Property And Land Information) has been providing solicitors and conveyancers with quality conveyancing searches since 1999. As technology has evolved, so has the service Pali provide and today Pali offer clients an online solution for the ordering and retrieval of not only conveyancing searches but other products required such as Anti-Money Laundering Searches, Indemnity Policies, OS Plans and much more.

Over the years Pali has managed to secure several industry awards Such as; Best Conveyancing Search Platform & Best-in-Class for Customer Service in the 2015 Technology Innovator Awards, Best Search Provider in the 2016 Technology Innovator Awards and in April 2016 Pali walked away with Best in Sector for Searches and won the Gold Award in the Supplier of the Year Category in the Prestigious ESTAS Awards, the biggest Awards in the UK Residential Property Industry. 

The ESTAS Awards are unique because shortlisted and winning firms are selected purely on ratings from clients. As one of Pali’s Senior Bloggers I was interested to find out what it was about Pali’s service that made our clients not only take the time to vote for us, but leave such exceptional feedback. I therefore decided to interview Dan Stear from Brabners Solicitors as Dan has been an extremely loyal and valued client for many years.

 

K: Hi Dan, thank you for taking the time to meet with me today.

D: Hi Kirsty, no problem. I’m happy to share my views.

 

K: Fantastic. I wanted to start by asking about your experience with the people from Pali. How have you and your team found the staff at Pali?

D: All the team at Pali are always extremely helpful. They are always on hand to help go through any queries we have that may be outside the normal sort of thing that they deal with. If we have anything that is urgent they always do their best to turn things around quickly.  If ever we are not sure about how best to send a request through to them, we can just pick up the phone and chat it through with them and they are able to sort it for us.

 

K: What do you think of the service you receive from Pali?

D: The service quality is very high. Not just in the quality of the reports that we get but also in terms of the customer service we receive. We really do feel at times like we are their only clients, (which we’re not!), the attention we get from them is that good. It’s also helpful that Pali give us turnaround times for searches, which helps us manage our clients’ expectations.

 

K: Pali have integrated with case management systems such as Proclaim, how has this benefitted you and your team?

D: Having the Pali system incorporated into Proclaim is very time saving. It is now really easy to order our searches; it’s just a few clicks.  Because we already have a standard order in place with Pali we don’t even need to select what searches we require for most regular transactions.  We just need to click a few buttons and we get an email confirmation from Pali confirming that the order has been received; it’s just a lot easier. It means once we’re logged in to Proclaim I don’t have to worry about logging into another system to order searches.

 

K: Do you have any further comments about Pali?

D: I honestly keep saying to people that I wonder what the catch is because Pali seem too good to be true! Pali’s searches are priced very competitively and we really get a personal level of service that reflects the service that we want to offer to our clients.
