Comments : Estate Agents advertise property with superb country views but miss a key fact
Estate Agents advertise property with ‘superb country views’ but miss the fact there is a 350ft mast located behind the property!
A cottage, which is being advertised for £199,950, is located in the depth of the beautiful Welsh countryside of Llanddona, boasted with having ‘commanding superb country and costal views’ but unknowingly to the reader of the advertisement, the property has a shocking 350ft mast and sub station standing just a few yards away from the edge of the back garden!
The estate agents are not incorrect with regards to the views from the front three rooms of the Welsh bungalow being spectacular and breathtaking. However, they fail to declare the unavoidable site of the BBC’s television mast that transmits several TV services to the whole of North Wales, emerging from the ground behind the home.
The estate agents, Williams and Goodwin brag how 'The property offers tremendous opportunity for further expansion subject to the necessary consents and is situated in a generous sized garden bordering onto and overlooking open countryside. Viewing recommended.'
The advertisement only mentions the mast in the details for directions to get to the cottage, 'Continue out of the village passing the transmitting mast and taking the next left turn where the property will then be seen as the first residence on the left hand side.'
Williams and Goodwin replied to the concern over the advertisement with this light hearted comment, 'One good thing about being so near the mast is at least the homeowner will get the best TV signal than anyone in Wales - and probably the rest of the UK.'
Is there any wonder that the property has been on the market since last September, even with the magnificent views and low asking price?
Is this an unmissable bargain or the property from Hell?
