{"id":2887,"date":"2019-04-26T15:20:39","date_gmt":"2019-04-26T15:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paliltd.com\/news\/?p=2887"},"modified":"2025-12-23T13:22:21","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T13:22:21","slug":"has-the-property-market-in-your-area-been-affected-by-brexit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paliltd.com\/news\/has-the-property-market-in-your-area-been-affected-by-brexit\/","title":{"rendered":"Has The Property Market In Your Area Been Affected By Brexit?"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>Brexit has hit Britain\u2019s property market with many becoming concerned about the house prices within their area.\u00a0 At the start of the year subsequent to \u2018almost grinding to a complete halt\u2019, the increase in property prices continued to be suppressed according to Nationwide Building Society.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The average price of a house within Britain has decreased after the price last month being \u00a3211,304 which was lowered from \u00a3211,966 which was the month previous.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Many observers assign the slow-moving housing market down to the hesitation around Brexit.\u00a0 Its in dispute that many individuals who are looking to sell and buy properties are holding off on what decisions they\u2019ll make until Britain exits the EU.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Despite the property market slump, there have been areas up and down Britain that have experienced an increase in values.\u00a0 These include, Manchester and Leicester both of which have seen a price increase of 16.6% and in turn 17.2% since the vote which happened in 2016.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In addition to the above locations there is also said to be 10 other areas within Britain that have had a double-digit house price rise.\u00a0 The list, which was produced by Zoopla, covers areas in Northern England, such as Leeds and Nottingham as well as places in Scotland, Edinburgh, Bournemouth in the South of England and Cardiff in Wales.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The capital which tends to have higher property values than elsewhere in Britain has been one of the hardest hit areas. In London the house prices have increased marginally by only 2% since the vote.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>According to Research and Insight Director for Zoopla Richard Donnell, there is a change on outlook, he stated \u2018House prices in London are starting to firm\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>He also added \u2018Buyers who have stood on the side-lines since 2015 are starting to see greater value for money, seeking out buying opportunities amidst the uncertainty of Brexit.
